Summer 2013: Sand Stone Sky
One day early this summer we were walking on the beach in Youghal looking up toward the promenade. I was fascinated by the different elements in view. There were sand, stones, roofs and sky to be seen. There were large boulders piled haphazardly and there was the cracked and weathered seawall of the prom. Sometimes the roofs of the large old seaside houses peeked over the wall. There were small glimpses through gaps or openings in the wall. One picture explores that other element of Youghal beach, wood.

2011
Watching the Children, acrylic, a reminder of evening sun in Tenerife.
Strand Street, watercolour, of Youghal.
The old railway signal house, in watercolour.
Wave Breaking, acrylic, perhaps a view toward the Easter Point though I decided to leave out the trees on the headland!
Wash, acrylic, along the beach at the Front Strand Youghal.
The Goat, acrylic, painted on site from the long grass on the cliff. I like this because it seems 'rough' but it catches a lot.
Evening Front Strand, Acrylic.
