Here is a selection of watercolour sketches from various sketch books. We start with some sunrises from Lajares in Fuertventura.

Next a sketch from James Street in Dublin.....

This is the Martello tower near The Forty Foot...

This is one I like, from the pier on Clare Island. I had to finish quickly to catch the ferry back to Roonagh.

Next, from Nicholas Street, Dublin. This was the site of Nicholas Gate, one of the ancient gateways in the walls of Dublin.

Bratislava is a beautiful city in Slovakia....

Below from the harbour at Cotillo...

This is a chemist shop in Sandymount Village, Dublin...

We  sketched many of the old cinemas of Dublin. This is the Strand Cinema on the North Strand, now apartments and shops..

I liked how this gateway on Ashe Street Youghal came out...

Next, from Camden Street, Cassidy's Pub; We were working on pubs!

This next is from Lyon. One of the cathedrals..

College Green. That's Henry Grattan.

This is an old one from Marsh's Library in Dublin..

Catch Up

Here are a few recent paintings. These are all acrylics. One of them is a scene during a regatta off Gorumna Island in Connemara. Others explore a night time theme. Buttimer's, Market Dock and the red boat are Youghal subjects.
